2021 Cadillac XT7 Update, Release Date, and Price. General Motors’ premium brand Cadillac is allegedly working on the all-new crossover SUV. The crossover SUV craze transformed the brand of the sedan models to the new rival in the ever-growing segment of the high-riding vehicles. Cadillac announced in 2018 the invasion of models with the new vehicle every six months until 2021. The brand promised three new crossovers, redesigned Escalade and several performance versions.
The new compact XT4 crossover is already in the game and the range was also expanded with the recent introduction of the three-row XT6. The brand also refreshed the XT5 for the 2021 model year. The redesigned Escalade is in the works and should debut as the 2021 model. There could be all-new 2021 Cadillac XT7 as some reports suggest and brand should also introduce the all-electric crossover.
Cadillac hasn’t yet hinted the arrival of the new crossover SUV and the launch for the 2021 model year seems unreal as we haven’t spotted any new Cadillac’s prototype suggesting the introduction of the new version. Some reports indicate that the brand might launch the concept version preceding the arrival of the new model. There are no many details about the new unconfirmed crossover SUV but some sources suggest that the new version could get a coupe-like form. This is a growing trend on the market and sporty profile SUVs have become popular after BMW and Mercedes started the trend.
2021 Cadillac XT7 Powertrains
The rumors circulating about the alleged arrival of the 2021 Cadillac XT7 haven’t answered what powertrain could be used in the model. Cadillac said it will continue to develop V-6 engines and some models will get V-8 units. The new Escalade could adopt a 4.2-liter turbocharged V-8 and offer the electrified powertrain in the future. Cadillac announced electric models after the 2021 model year.
The XT7 could just use a 3.6-liter V-6 engine like the XT5 and XT6 models. GM’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine could also be the solution for the unconfirmed model. The electrified version isn’t also out of question. Cadillac could also offer a performance version of the model with the 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit under the hood with the power around 310 hp. There will be 9- or 10-speed automatic transmission in the combination with the chosen engine.
2021 Cadillac XT7 Possible Design
Cadillac hasn’t yet commented on the rumors about the new, coupe-like 2021 Cadillac XT7. The prototype versions haven’t also been caught to support the claims and hint possible design of the model.
Based on what the reports suggest, the new vehicle will try to get attention with sportier, coupe-like profile while should share much of the design with the brand’s recent models. The vehicle should also be based on the C1XX platform as it is the case with the XT5 and XT6 models.
The front section of the model will allegedly get a sleeker grille version combined with modernized headlights with vertical elements. The model should also sport more pronounced body lines.
The profile will also look sportier thanks to the fastback roofline and defined character line. The rear side will include modern, vertical headlights and sculpted tailgate.
The interior of the model should share a familiar design with the recently introduced crossovers in the brand’s range.
There should be a dash with dynamic contours and a modern center stack and instrument cluster. The model will use the newest infotainment platform with the larger center display. The premium materials and comfort features will also be the part of the model as well as the latest safety equipotent.
It’s not yet sad what size of the model would be. The coupe-like profile will sacrifice some of the rear -seat headroom for the more appealing style but there should be plenty of room for passengers and cargo.
2021 Cadillac XT7 Release Date, Price
The rumors about the 2021 Cadillac XT7 suggest the debut of the model sometime in 2021. The starting price should be above $50, 000.
Still, we don’t have any solid proof that this model is coming and Cadillac hasn’t yet released any statement on the topic. In any case, we should take the reports about the XT7 with a high dose of skepticism although we would like to get a sportier form of the Cadillac crossover.
