Nissan Frontier Specs
Under the hood of 2021 Nissan Frontier will be a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. This drivetrain is capable to produce 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. This unit is connected via either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automatic transmission. The 4-cylinder is far more efficient than the 4.0-liter V6 drivetrain, the 4.0-liter V6 is a much better option. This unit can produce 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. The V6 models will have enough power with either type of transmissions, the 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.
4-cylinder Frontiers can tow 3,500 pounds and the 2WD V6 models have a tow rating set up to 6,500. The 2021 Nissan Frontier runs on regular unleaded gasoline, but the EPA figures are much better for the Chevy Colorado. The EPA city/highway numbers for 2.5-liter inline-4 2WD Frontier with manual transmission are 19/23 mpg, and 17/22 mpg for 2WD with the automatic gearbox. For the 4.0-litre V6 engine 2WD manual models EPA city/highway is 16/22 mpg (16/23 mpg AWD automatic). The four-wheel drive models record 16/21 mpg 4WD manual and 15/21 mpg 4WD with automatic transmission.
2021 Nissan Frontier Redesign
The upcoming 2021 Nissan Frontier will be constructed in Canton, Mississippi, same as the previous model. The technological upgrades of the new Frontier include a 7.0-inch color audio display for the S and SV models. The new Cayenne Red Metallic exterior paint color will be available on several trims. The exterior of this model may seem a little bit of conservative, but the visual appearance is quite stunning.
The major changes are noticeably flared fenders and wheels that now comes with the more aggressive-looking design. The mid-size Nissan pickup also advertises a new muscular element, especially on PRO-4X and the Desert Runner models. These models include off-road tires, roof rack and available crossbars, to gain more strength and cope with the harsh terrains. A long bed will be available with the Frontier Crew Cab, and it will the 73.3-inch bed length, the same length as on the King Cab.
The interior of 2021 Nissan Frontier may not be spectacular and luxurious like the new Ram pickup, but it’s very functional and well designed. The engineers at the Nissan made the most useful and comfortable cabin, that is also in line with the vehicle’s intended purpose. If you open the rear-hinged doors you will see a pair of narrow seats, extremely convenient for the kids and short town rides. If you plan a trip with a couple of friends, opt for the Crew Cab. The Crew Cab offers four traditional doors and enough room for three adults across the rear bench.
One of the best things on new Frontier is that the rear seats can clip up to give more space. The front seats can fold flat. The Nissan Frontier comes with a decent amount of base equipment. The King Cab S model includes a 5-speed manual transmission, features like air conditioning, crank windows, cruise control and Bluetooth. The SV trim includes power windows and mirrors, NissanConnect system, a USB-equipped audio system, Pandora streaming and iHeartRadio. The Crew Cab SL comes with leather seats, a standard V6 engine and Rockford Fosgate audio system. The brake-acuated limited-slip rear differential is included all 2-wheel drive models, and the FWD models have a limited-slip rear.
2021 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X
The 2021 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X offers some remarkably good off-road performances. This model isn’t just a 4-wheel drive, the PRO-4X comes with features like heavy-duty suspension, skid plates that protect the fuel tank and Bilstein high-pressure performance gas shock absorbers. Oil pan and transfer case, 265/75R16 All-Terrain tires, 16-inch wheels and an electronically locking rear differential are included.
The 4WD PRO-4X models also add an electronic locking rear differential and skid plates. The Premium Package with power-adjustable leather seats and heated outside mirrors is part of the Crew Cab PRO-4X equipment. The power moonroof will be standard on SL and optional on SV models. The Midnight Edition will be available only on the SV trim with automatic transmission.
