2023 Audi Q5 Redesign, Hybrid, Specs, and Photos. The upcoming 2023 Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid is almost here. The manufacturer announced the latest upgrades to its A7 and Q5 models, a few weeks ago. These two models have launched with PHEV versions two years ago. Now, Audi is ready to upgrade the battery packs, which will result in a better driving range.
We know the 2023 Q5 PHEV will arrive in Europe this year, but this SUV will also hit the American shores in the first quarter of 2023. Besides that, Audi will also deliver various exterior and interior changes and upgrades. The Sportback variant is also on offer. The price will be higher than before and here’s everything we know about this model.
New and Bigger 17.9-kWh Battery Pack
The approaching 2023 Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid is about to get improvements. As we said, both the A7 and Q5 hybrid models are getting a larger battery pack. It is a 17.9-kWh battery which is an improvement over the current 14.1-kWh unit. According to Audi, this is not a major change, and that the batteries are just “repackaged.” Moreover, a larger battery won’t compromise the interior room, which is great.
New batteries will provide 19 miles of all-electric driving range. The fuel efficiency is rated at 27 mpg combined and 50 MPGe. Hybrid Q5 combines a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with an electric motor and it generates 362 horsepower. Lastly, the AWD system is available, along with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid Facelift
The all-new 2023 Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid will look like the regular gasoline-powered Q5 SUV. In 2021, Audi provided a more angular approach to the headlights and bumpers. Moreover, the manufacturer updated the grille. Now, the 2023 Q5 is getting further cosmetic upgrades. Grille has revised once again, along with the air intakes. New model looks sportier and it also wears new taillights graphics.
Interestingly, but regular Q5, PHEV, and Sportback variants are all looking the same from the nose to A-pillars. The Sportback version comes with a unique roofline and more athletic stance. New exterior colors will be on offer, along with the new optional wheels.
Interior Updates
The interior of the 2023 Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid will also gain more upgrades. The cabin will host more premium materials and some new technologies. The comfort is great and everything about this model is very modern and upright. Hybrid model will offer a larger 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and the newest driver-assistance aids.
On top of that, this model will also provide more standard features. The upper trim levels are available with a larger 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit panel, leather upholstery, and ambient lighting. The cabin design and its layout will carryover.
2023 Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid Price, Release Date
The price of the all-new 2023 Audi Q5 Plug-In Hybrid will start at around $54,000. It is a slightly higher price, which is reasonable given the number of updates. This crossover-SUV will go on sale later this year in Europe. The Q5 model is coming to the United States in the first quarter of 2023.
