Two All-New Hybrid Powertrain Options The forthcoming 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport will get a brand-new hybrid powertrain. It is a mild-hybrid gasoline engine with 290 horsepower. This engine is exclusive to the Black Edition variant only. The current diesel engine with 163 hp and 205 hp will get the same mild-hybrid treatment. According to Land Rover, power will not increase drastically, but fuel efficiency will. On the other hand, none of these two powertrains aren’t full hybrids, which means you can’t drive the new Discovery Sport on electric power exclusively.
