The 2023 Velar will use a plug-in hybrid technology from now on. A hybrid powertrain will improve fuel efficiency and it will offer 33 miles of electric range. The luxury SUV will also benefit from the new Pivi infotainment system and additional safety features. Land Rover will deliver a couple of new amenities. Overall, it is a complete upgrade for this SUV, although we ‘d like to see further cosmetic improvements. 2023 Range Rover Velar Comes With Various Engines The most significant upgrade for 2023 is the all-new mild-hybrid powertrain option. The 2023 Range Rover Velar will offer various engines. Conventional outputs such as 3.0-liter diesel with 295 hp and two gasoline units with 355 and 395 hp are still available. However, the new hybrid variant is the most efficient. Velar will deploy a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine in combination with a 141-hp electric motor. Total output is rated at 398 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to that, the plug-in hybrid variant will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. A 17.1 kWh lithium-ion battery is also available and it provides 33 miles of pure electric driving range. Land Rover is yet to announce more specific details. 2023 Range Rover Velar Exterior The all-new 2023 Range Rover Velar will gain small exterior updates. Complete styling is based on the R-Dynamic SE trim level and is offered in the Lantau Bronze metallic exclusive color. Of course, you can buy one of the optional exterior paints such as Santorini Black, Portofino Blue, Eiger Grey, and Hakuba Silver. The luxury SUV is equipped with impressive 20-inch black wheels and black contrast roof. The front fascia sports slim LED headlights, while LED Matrix headlamps are optional. The black honeycomb mesh grille looks aggressive and extremely sporty. However, all of these features are already present on the current model.
