Following the introduction of the midsize GV80 luxury SUV in 2021, Genesis now releases the smaller GV70 in 2023. The GV70, like its larger brother, comes with two engine options: a 3.5-liter turbo or a 2.5-liter turbo-four V6. An 8-speed automatic transmission transmits power to all four wheels because there is no rear-wheel drive option.
The GV80 is stunning, and the GV70 is as so, with the brand’s recognizable diamond-pattern grille and twin light-bar setup. Sportier versions include different front fascia, additional black chrome trims, and larger wheels. The interior is also plush, with enough of room for both people and baggage. Despite its low starting price, the GV70 model is well-equipped.

The 2023 Genesis GV70 is another attractive model, and it appears more dynamic than the larger GV80. The more dramatic slope of the roof toward the back, as opposed to the flatter roof of the GV80, perfectly emphasizes this. Otherwise, all of the visual elements that have come to identify the Genesis brand are there, such as the massive grille and front and rear quad-light lights.
A Sport Package for the GV70 will be available, which has a more aggressive front fascia, new wheel patterns, dark chrome exterior highlights, and a pair of huge exhaust tips incorporated into the reworked rear fascia. Of course, exclusive exterior paints and carbon-fiber trims are available within the optional packages.
Interior and Trim Levels
For its base price, the 2023 Genesis GV70 looks incredibly premium and modern. More precisely, its interior is upright and very competitive. The entry-level 2.5 T Standard trim level comes with heated front seats, smart cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. However, the 2.5 T Select variant adds a standard panoramic roof and premium 16-speaker audio system.
The 2.5 T Advanced trim is full of luxury, as it comes with leather upholstery, a blind-spot monitor system, and remote parking assist. Of course, optional packages are full of additional equipment and are providing even more luxury.

The base 2023 Genesis GV70 starts at $42,000. This is a very affordable price, given the level of luxury, especially inside the cabin. Moreover, the Sport Prestige variant will cost you $54,000. On the other hand, a fully loaded Prestige trim level with the V6 engine is available for $63,500. The GV70 SUV will rival more expensive models such as BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. The sales will begin this summer in the United States.
