The basic engine is a V6, the Highlander is one of the few three-row SUVs that have an optional hybrid powertrain. Once again use a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with 295 hp, regular Highlander will. An eight-speed automated transmission and available with either front- or all-wheel drive. On the other hand, the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid deploys a smaller 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. This output provides a total of 243 horsepower.
This variant has a continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT) with the option of front- or all-wheel drive. This variant comes with slightly worse acceleration, but fuel efficiency is significantly better. The regular V6 engine delivers 29 mpg on the highway and Highlander Hybrid 35 mpg on the highway.
Interior Updates
On the inside, the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid will receive some distinctive design elements and, such as geometric-patterned upholstery and a new shape of the air vents. The Bronze Edition comes with bronze-colored trim and lighted bronze-colored doorsill guards. In addition, XLE and higher trim levels now include a height-adjustable power seat for the front passenger.

You’ll have to pay $44,000 if you want the brand-new Hybrid Bronze Edition. Toyota will launch a new Highlander SUV in the last quarter of 2023.
