2025 Hyundai Kona Electric Upgraded, Specs, and Price. The all-new 2025 Hyundai Kona is in the works once again and this small model will arrive with some drastic updates. The subcompact SUV offers a car-like character and it comes with super handling. Kona also offers bold styling and its interior is both practical and modern. Kona comes with two four-cylinder engines. However, the highlight is the all-electric model.
Of course, you can get this small SUV with a hybrid powertrain. By 2025, Kona will gain refreshed interior and exterior design. We expect to see brand-new features and the sporty N-Line version will add another turbocharged engine. The sales will begin in the last quarter of 2021.
Kona Hybrid and Kona Electric Specs
The forthcoming 2025 Hyundai Kona is available with so many powertrain options. Everything starts with conventional engines such as a four-cylinder unit with 147 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine powers the entry-level SE and SEL models. As for the upper trim levels such as Limited and Ultimate, Kona will use a turbo-four engine with 175 hp and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Furthermore, Kona N-Line will get a new turbocharged engine that will generate 195 horsepower.
Kona is popular because of its impressive electrified powertrains. Of all, there is a 1.6-liter diesel engine that works in combination with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This variant is rated at 135 horsepower. You can choose between a seven-speed dual-clutch and a six-speed manual gearbox. Diesel engines are not available in the U.S, but Kona Electric is. This variant comes with a 201-hp electric motor and a standard front-wheel-drive setup. Kona EV is using a 64.0-kWh battery and it can travel for 258 miles on a single charge.
2025 Kona Will Arrive With New Front Fascia
New 2025 Hyundai Kona will gain a lot of updates. That also includes a couple of exterior refreshments. For a start, this small SUV will get a new front fascia that looks more dramatic. That includes new LED headlights and a new wide-mouth grille. Kona comes with faux skid plates at both ends and the styling looks refreshed.
This model will offer new wheel designs but wheel sizes are the same as before. The taillights are thinner now and two-tone bumpers are available too. Lastly, the arriving Kona will grow in size. This SUV will be 1.6 inches longer than its predecessor.
Interior Gets Larger Display
On the inside, the 2025 Hyundai Kona will gain more drastic changes. That includes a complete redesign of the dashboard and new optional features. Kona comes with a new digital gauge display, heated rear seats, and wireless smartphone charging. On top of that, a 7-inch touchscreen is replaced by a larger 8-inch unit. Hyundai opted for a new 10.3-inch display that will be optional.
The interior will continue to look stylish and modern. We can’t say the Kona SUV is one of the most practical models, but this subcompact SUV comes with solid practicality. The seating layout remains, along with the upholstery, both standard and optional. The newest driver-assistance aids will be in the offer.
