2023 Subaru Solterra Redesign, Specs, Price, and Photos. Subaru’s first all-electric production vehicle will be available next year. The upcoming 2022 Subaru Solterra will be a mid-size SUV. It is closely related to the Toyota bZ4X Concept, which was seen in Shanghai last month, and will be released in Europe, China, Japan, Canada, and the United States. The sales will begin in mid-2022, according to the most reliable reports. You probably didn’t know, but Solterra was previously known as the Evoltis model. The Solterra will deploy an all-new EV-specific architecture known as the e-Subaru Global Platform (e-TNGA). On top of that, Subaru’s famous AWD system and Toyota’s electrification technologies will be on offer, which makes an amazing combination. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Solterra electric SUV. Standard AWD System Subaru is keeping powertrain information tight to its chest for the time being. Indeed, we don’t know much about the 2022 Subaru Solterra and its all-electric output. Nonetheless, it could come with dual-motor setups and an all-wheel drive. The entry-level models would most likely have a single motor and two-wheel drive. There’s no news about what kind of batteries are hidden under the Solterra either. It’s likely to be the same as the forthcoming Toyota bZ4X, which was recently previewed in prototype form. It’s a matter of whether Toyota or Subaru will have a greater impact on the new Solterra. One thing is certain, and it is Subaru’s famous all-wheel-drive system that should be standard. 2022 Solterra Design Japan manufacturer has done its utmost to keep the architecture of the 2022 Subaru Solterra a secret. Its boxy profile can be seen peeking through the darkness of the teaser image above. Sharp LED headlights are also present, as is a suggestion of a wide front grille. The rear badge clearly indicates anything other than the EV. The taillights are looking incredibly modern in our opinion. Subaru’s two teaser images show the upcoming battery-electric vehicle’s lightweight dimensions. It will have slimmer LED headlamps, big side creases in the front bumper, a muscular-looking hood, and a subtly arched roofline at the back. The underbody protection suggests a lot of ground clearance, which is great for off-road fans. Interior Details There are no details regarding the all-new 2022 Subaru Solterra and its interior design. The interior of the Solterra has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to be very […]

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Truck Redesign and Release Date. The brand-new all-electric version is expected to be called the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning. The F-150 Lightning is a model from the 1990s that is powered by a V8 engine and was a very common model back then. Blue Oval is apparently planning to reintroduce the Lightning name, this time on the latest all-electric F-150. Another explanation is the E-150 name, although this seems to be less probable. The new F-150 Lightning will feature a dual-motor configuration with the standard all-wheel-drive system. Everyone is expecting spectacular results, and sales will begin next year. Blue Oval will reveal more details in the coming weeks, including the official name of the all-electric truck. Possible Names Beside Lightning As we said, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is not an official name for this electric pickup truck. Leaked documents indicate that the upcoming F-150 variant with an all-electric powertrain would be called the F-150 Lightning. We previously discussed the “E-150” name as the most possible outcome. Still, the leaked document reveals the word Lightning, so we don’t know whether this is a hoax or not. The E-150 makes more sense because the Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit models use electric power. Nonetheless, various sources are now pointing to the F-150 Lightning as the current name. 2023 F-150 Lightning Specs Ford hasn’t said anything about the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning and its powertrain. We know it will have a dual-motor setup and an all-wheel-drive system as an option. According to Ford, the electric F-150 will have more horsepower and torque, as well as the fastest acceleration of any F-150 currently on the market. This means it will have more than 450 horsepower and will reach 60 mph in less than 5.0 seconds. We expect that the battery pack in the F-150 Lightning would have a range of more than 300 miles, as the longest-range Mustang Mach-E. The truck is reportedly EPA-rated at 305 miles. Ford produced a bed-mounted removal range extender, which is more than a useful thing to have. Exterior Design The first spy shots of the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning are now online. The spied prototype was seen testing in Michigan just last month. The electric variant will be the same as the standard F-150 model. The biggest difference between regular and electric variants is the ride height. Moreover, the plug-in port on the […]

2023 Audi A6 e-tron: Electric, Redesign, and Release Date. The upcoming 2023 Audi A6 e-tron is still just a concept. Audi unveiled it just recently and this model will enter production in the coming weeks. It is a model that previews Audi’s new EV family built on the PPE platform. This architecture is designed to underpin mid-size sedans and SUVs. The platform is co-developed with Porsche. The A6 e-tron is a sportback and it will arrive right after Q6 e-tron SUV. The new Porsche Macan EV that uses the same underpinnings will also go on sale at some point next year. As for the A6 e-tron, this model will hit the dealerships in Europe and the United States. The production model will slightly depart from the original concept, but here’s everything we know at this moment. Driving Range, Charging At the reveal, the 2023 Audi A6 e-tron was shown with a battery of 100 kWh. This should be enough for the A6 e-tron to cover around 435 miles on a single charge. A total output of 469 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque is promised. According to Audi, PPE can handle a single rear axle motor for a possible better driving range and also at a lower cost. The brand also claims PPE will use an 800-volt charger at speeds up to 270 kW. This is a unique high-volume mid-range charger for the luxury segment. Thanks to that, the A6 e-tron can provide 186 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging. “The customers will charge the 100kWh battery from 5 to 80 percent within less than 25 minutes,” the company claims. Lastly, this model comes with the front suspension that is basically an air system with adaptive dumpers. A five-link setup is in use, along with the multilink axle in the back. The A6 e-tron will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds. 2023 A6 e-tron Design The 2023 Audi A6 e-tron is about the same size as the A7 sportback. Audi claims that aerodynamic efficiency and performance are the priority. The brand also claims that the low front end and the sloping roofline will allow the concept to reach an electrified C-segment drag coefficient of just 0.22. The digital LED matrix headlights are brand-new and are also the slimmest headlights we’ve seen so far. They have OLED technology that ensures the highest visibility […]

2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo Redesign and Release Date. The upcoming 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo is coming to the dealerships. It is an all-electric sporty wagon with an impressive design and upright interior. We must credit Subaru for popularizing the sales of the station wagons, as this is a trend once again. Many other manufacturers are eager to sell at least one wagon model, and Porsche is no different. The German manufacturer hopes this tactic will work, especially in the United States. The all-electric station wagon sounds great, but Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo is a performance-oriented variant, which is even better. Without further ado, here is everything we know about this model at the moment. Driving Range Porsche isn’t talking about driving range. The EPA hasn’t yet approved the new wagon, but Turbo models should be rated at about 200 miles on a single charge, and 4 models should be rated for about 230 miles. The Cross Turismo, like all other Taycans, can be fast-charged at up to 270 kW (20 kW more than the fastest Tesla V3 Supercharger), which means the battery can be charged from 5% to 80% in as little as 22 minutes. 2023 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo Specs The 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo comes with a dual-motor setup. An all-wheel-drive system is standard. Porsche also offers the Gravel drive mode, improved air suspension, and slightly higher ride height. For example, Tesla Model Y is basically Tesla Model 3 with a suspension lift and sleeker roofline. When compared to the Taycan sedan, Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo is no different. Whatsoever, the two models are sharing the same powertrain setup. The wagon is available with a permanent-magnet motor at each axle. Furthermore, the rear axle is using a two-speed automatic and the front axle a single-speed gearbox. Regular Taycan Cross Turismo generates 375 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. The 4S version develops 616 hp and 774 lb-ft of torque. Porsche offers a larger Performance Battery Plus with 93 kWh, which is more than 79 kWh battery in Taycan sedan. This model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. Exterior and Interior Visually, the 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo will look very sporty and modern. This model is based on the Mission E Cross Turismo concept and it looks astonishing. It comes with a sleek roofline and impressive […]

2023 Honda HR-V e: HEV Electric, Hybrid, and Release Date. A new Honda HR-V e: HEV has arrived in Europe, and Honda has announced that the next model of the subcompact SUV will be available in the United States. We’re not sure how different the US-spec version would look like at this stage. However, we believe this European variant gives us a clear idea of how the HR-V could look like in North America. The e: HEV is a model for Europe and it will run on a two-engine electric setup. The sales should begin later in 2021 and the subcompact SUV will cost more than the outgoing model. It is the next-gen model, so we expect to see a lot of significant changes. That includes both visual upgrades and numerous interior updates. Two-engine Configuration At this point, the carmaker only said the 2023 Honda HR-V e: HEV will use a two-engine setup. The same powertrain will be used by some other models such as CR-V and Accord. We wouldn’t be shocked to see an HR-V hybrid enter the US lineup as well, but it would almost certainly come standard with a conventional gasoline engine. The turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four used in the Civic, CR-V, and Accord seems to be the most likely outcome, with front-wheel drive as all-wheel and standard drive as an option. As for this two-engine configuration, Honda is yet to announce more details. 2023 HR-V e: HEV Design The new-gen 2023 Honda HR-V e: HEV will look refreshed and very modern. This European variant won’t largerly depart from the model in the United States, for sure. Both variants are expected to gain a more distinctive styling, especially on the front fascia. New grille and headlights are very attractive and this small SUV will also introduced a sloped rear hatch. The result is a good-looking SUV with sporty character and sharper lines. A 17-inch wheels are standard, while trim levels such as Sport will offer 18-inch rims. HR-V e: HEV won’t offer a power tailgate, as some sources reported. This may become an issue, as rivals such as Mazda CX-30 are offering power tailgate as an option. Interior Details On the inside, the 2023 Honda HR-V e: HEV keeps the same layout. This means the model comes with the spacious rear seat and cargo area with the so-called “magic seats.” The seats fold flat into the floor and […]
