2023 Kia EV6 GT Redesign, Performance, Specs, and Photos. The upcoming 2023 Kia EV6 GT is another brand-new all-electric model. We already wrote about the EV6 model a few weeks ago. But now, we are dealing with the high-performance GT variant. Reportedly, the EV6 GT will develop almost 600 horsepower. That is a lot of power, but Kia will also offer Standard and Long Range battery packs, with both RWD and AWD systems.
The EV6 model will deploy Hyundai’s new E-GMP platform, and the GT version will be no different. We are waiting for the full reveal, which should happen in the coming weeks. The sales will begin later in 2021, and the EV6 model will join the electric Soul and Niro models.
Sporty Exterior Design
The all-new 2023 Kia EV6 GT will slightly depart from the rest of the trim levels. As its name (not so creative) suggests, the GT variant will look more aggressive and sportier. For a start, Kia will deliver larger tires and wheels. The front and rear sections will be more upright. The manufacturer opted for yellow accents and not red accents like other sporty vehicles. Thanks to that, EV6 GT will arrive with yellow brake calipers and numerous interior accents finished in the same color.
The seats will be brand-new and more supportive. The most reliable reports are also suggesting the GT-Line model with a similar design but smaller batteries and less power. New EV6 crossover will wear a new design language, with a sleeker roofline and bolder styling. All trim levels will wear a recognizable “Digital Tiger Face” grille and Kia will offer unique exterior paints.
2023 EV6 GT Specs
Kia surprised us all with this new high-performance variant. The 2023 Kia EV6 GT will represent the range-topping trim level with a standard all-wheel-drive system. This means the GT variant will offer front and rear electric motors. Total output is rated at 577 horsepower, which sounds amazing. The all-electric powertrain will develop u to 546 lb-ft of torque. This is the best possible output and Kia will offer a larger battery pack. Of all, the Standard Range battery comes with a 225-hp electric motor and a rear-wheel-drive setup.
Adding another motor creates an AWD system and it adds an additional 321 horsepower. The Long Range battery will provide 316 miles of electric range on a single charge. New Kia EV6 GT will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and its top speed is rated at 162 mph. Kia also offers software that mimics the behavior of the limited-slip differential. Still, we are waiting for the official reveal and we can’t wait to hear more details about the GT model.
2023 Kia EV6 GT Release Date, Price
The 2023 Kia EV6 GT will arrive in the United States by the end of 2021. Kia is yet to announce more details, but the price will start closer to $60,000. The base EV6 variant costs around $45,000. The brand-new all-electric crossover will be revealed in the coming months.
