2025 Mini Cooper Electric, Hybrid, Specs, and Price. The upcoming 2025 Mini Cooper Electric is a small electric hatchback that will hit the dealerships this fall. It is a more affordable model than most of its rivals. Based on the two-door hardtop Mini Cooper, the electric version is still behind the competition. Yes, it is an adorable model with great handling, but its figures are not so impressive. The electric driving range is questionable, because the smaller model comes with a smaller battery pack.
For that reason, its price puts Mini Cooper Electric in the least expensive EVs you can get. On the other hand, this small car comes with a long list of standard features and some premium stuff. Family SUVs are at a great advantage, so smaller Mini Cooper can’t compete with that. Still, take a closer look and let us know what you think.
Driving Range, Acceleration
New 2025 Mini Cooper Electric will generate 181 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. This model uses a front-wheel-drive standard and it offers a 32.6-kWh battery pack. However, only 28.9 kWh is usable. This may come as a disappointment, but that is not everything. Its acceleration is not so great, including the top speed. Small car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, which is quicker than Chevy Bolt EV.
Cooper model offers regenerative-braking modes, which is a novelty. As for the driving range, Cooper Mini provides 110 miles on a full charge. Models such as Nissan Leaf and Bolt EV are offering more miles. The battery can be charged to 80 percent in 30 minutes. Using a home AC charger at 7.4 kilowatts will take around four hours to fully charge.
Mini Cooper Electric Looks Funky
Spy photos of the 2025 Mini Cooper Electric are available. For a start, this model comes with various body-colored trim pieces and a brand-new grille. Instead of a recognizable yellow accent, the front fascia now wears a subtle “S” letter, finished in the same yellow color. Fog lights are gone and the manufacturer opted for an additional LED element in the headlamps.
The rear section wears LED taillights with a unique accent that can also be seen in the Countryman model. From what we know, Mini will also introduce a Collection edition in gray and blue paints. A new multi-tone roof will become available. Lastly, spy shots are showing new wheels that complete exterior redesign
Interior Gets Important Updates
The upcoming 2025 Mini Cooper Electric comes with a 5.5-inch digital gauge cluster. This cluster shows driving range, navigation, battery’s charge level, and some other infotainment info. The small car offers standard dual-zone climate control and a heated steering wheel. The ambient lighting is something new, along with the new interior color schemes. According to some reports, there will be up to six different schemes. It is a funky cabin design, but the interior room is limited.
The front passengers will be fine, but it is the rear seats that are causing the problem. Fitting adults in the back is almost impossible. Tech-wise, Mini Cooper Electric provides a nice-looking 8.8-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation. The manufacturer also delivers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, and wireless charging.
