The prototype of the spied SUV is showing numerous updates, just like we expected. It is a full-size SUV with so much to offer and now exterior redesign will make this model even better. It is the next-gen model so we expect a lot of changes and upgrades.
That also includes interior refinements and some changes under the hood. A hybrid powertrain is a logical outcome for such a good-selling model. New Expedition will go on sale later this year and here’s everything we know so far.
Hybrid Powertrain Specs
A hybrid powertrain is a great addition to this full-size SUV. The 2025 Ford Expedition Hybrid will deploy the “PowerBoost” V6 configuration. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 is combined with a 35-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.5kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack.
Total output will be rated at 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque and it comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Blue Oval promises amazing towing capacity, but fuel efficiency is yet to be announced. An all-wheel-drive system is standard and this is everything we know at the moment.
2025 Expedition Hybrid Redesign
The all-new 2025 Ford Expedition Hybrid will wear a refreshed design. The full-size SUV has been spied for the first time. The prototype wears an all-white exterior paint scheme and heavy camouflage. Because of that, some upgrades and changes are not available yet. We can see that the front fascia and the rear section will be heavily upgraded.
On the other hand, reliable reports are suggesting a new architecture that can accommodate a hybrid system. We don’t know if the vehicle’s size will be different. Still, Expedition will remain a full-size SUV for sure. We expect to see new wheels, additional chrome accents, and much more. Even new optional packages are a possibility. However, we must wait for the Blue Oval to reveal additional details.
Interior Refreshments
The upcoming 2025 Ford Expedition Hybrid will get an interior to revamp. New interior will be more modern and more stylish. Blue Oval manufacturer will deliver a larger infotainment touchscreen, a new infotainment system, and more standard features. There will be five trim levels and even Expedition MAX will be available and it will offer a hybrid powertrain option.
New USB phone charging will be added in the third-row. Tri-zone automatic climate control is available, along with the new driver-assistance aids. Ford will also provide more high-quality materials, but the new cabin design is still a mystery.
2025 Ford Expedition Hybrid Release Date, Price
The next-gen 2025 Ford Expedition Hybrid will arrive later this year, just like the new Lincoln Navigator full-size SUV. The price will start at almost $60,000, while the base trim level will cost $53,000. Blue Oval will release more details in the coming months.
