2023 Nissan Qashqai Hybrid, Redesign, and Specs. The all-new 2023 Nissan Qashqai is ready for further development. This crossover-SUV will follow the footsteps of its larger sibling in the United States. Of course, we are talking about the Rogue Sport model. On the other hand, Qashqai is available in Europe and it will arrive later this year. We know some interesting details about the Rogue Sport model and Qashqai will surely follow the same path.

Thanks to that, we can now safely say that Qashqai is about to gain additional exterior and interior upgrades. As before, a hybrid powertrain is the highlight of this model. The price will slightly increase and here’s everything you need to know about the new Qashqai.

Hybrid Powertrain

First of all, we saw on the spy photos the tachometer set at 8,000 rpm, which clearly suggests a gasoline engine. The manufacturer plans to remove all of the diesel engines in the near future. As for the 2023 Nissan Qashqai, the best part of this SUV is its hybrid powertrain. It is Nissan’s e-Power 12-volt hybrid system. We believe the Qashqai will also deploy the plug-in hybrid technology made by Mitsubishi, which is now part of Nissan.

However, the PHEV variant won’t become available instantly. A 1.3-liter turbocharged and 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine should be in the offer. The most powerful variant will generate up to 340 horsepower. We are waiting to hear the exact specs of a regular hybrid system with a 1.3-liter engine. Lastly, the Rogue Sport model will stick to 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines for another year.

2023 Qashqai Spy Photos

The upcoming 2023 Nissan Qashqai will gain a couple of visual updates. Nothing significant will change but the first spy photos are showing the prototype with the mid-cycle facelift. Design is shared with the Rogue Sport model that is available in the United States. The front fascia wears the same headlight layout and the rear section offers narrower taillights.

The spied prototype wears heavy camouflage so some exterior parts are still not available. We can confirm that the dimensions are the same so Qashqai will remain a subcompact model that slots above the Kicks and below the Rogue model.

Interior Changes

The interior is will gain more major updates. New 2023 Nissan Qashqai already looks modern and upscale but a new model will be even better. The dashboard looks different, along with the digital instrument cluster. A tablet-like infotainment touchscreen is in an offer and it provides an impressive interface. The materials are better as well, so the level of comfort is higher than before.

Qashqai is Nissan’s best-selling model in Europe so the manufacturer will try to deliver more standard features this time. New driver-assistance aids will be optional. The spy shots are showing unchanged air vents, steering wheel, and switchgear.

2023 Nissan Qashqai Release Date, Price

New 2023 Nissan Qashqai will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2021. It seems like the Coronavirus outbreak will last for another couple of months. Don’t be surprised if Nissan postpones the launch of the new Qashqai SUV if that really happens. The price will slightly increase, but Nissan is yet to announce official details.
