2025 Nissan X-Trail Electric, Hybrid, Specs, and Price. The all-new 2025 Nissan X-Trail is ready for the next chapter. This SUV will arrive with significant changes. The most important upgrade is Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. It is a unique hybrid powertrain that will become available in numerous brand’s crossovers and SUVs. According to Nissan, this system will work differently, unlike the regular gasoline-electric combos.
Besides that, the new X-Trail will gain numerous exterior and interior updates. As you know, X-Trail is also available in the United States and it is called Nissan Rogue. The new model will look more modern than the current one and we expect to see great improvements in terms of performance. The sales will begin later in 2021 and here’s everything you need to know.
New e-Power System
The biggest upgrade will happen under the hood. The upcoming 2025 Nissan X-Trail will feature a new e-Power system. According to Nissan, this system works differently to existing gasoline-electric SUVs such as Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The X-Trail SUV will deploy an electric motor exclusively. Thanks to that, this model will offer an EV-like driving experience with instant torque delivery.
The e-Power system uses a gasoline engine as a generator that recharges a small lithium-ion battery. Exact performance figures are not available yet. We know that the 2.5-liter gasoline powertrain delivers 181 hp and it works with a CVT transmission. And while the gearbox will remain, the e-Power system will generate above 200 horsepower for sure.
2025 X-Trail Refreshments
The approaching 2025 Nissan X-Trail will continue with refreshments. This model already looks modern enough but the latest changes will make it look sharper and more upright. As before, some styling cues are taken from the Nissan Juke model. That includes the split headlights and relatively new daytime running lights. The grille looks prominent and it dominates the front fascia.
The rear section comes with minor updates and only the taillights are slightly modified. The rear part looks boxier than ever before, but the rest of the exterior is angular. Nissan will introduce new exterior colors and we expect to see new optional wheels.
Upright Interior Design
What we especially like about the new 2025 Nissan X-Trail is its interior The forthcoming SUV comes with significant cabin changes. For a start, X-Trail will offer more soft-touch surfaces and more upright materials. This SUV will get more standard equipment and additional high-tech amenities. The 9.0-inch touchscreen remains and the same unit is available in the new Nissan Rogue.
On the other hand, some traditional dials are gone so most of the controls are operated via a head-up display. Wireless is available, but it is an optional feature in the base trim level. The same is with the latest driver-assistance aids that are standard in the range-topping trim levels only.
