2025 BMW i3: Redesign, Hybrid, Performance, & Price. The upcoming 2025 BMW i3 is an all-electric city car with so much to offer. This model looks good and its styling is truly impressive. I3 still slots below its rivals in terms of performances. That includes the battery size, driving range, and much more. Luckily, BMW does offer an optional powertrain option.

The interior looks fascinating. Everything on the inside is sophisticated and so modern. Cabin space is the major issue. The 2025 i3 will arrive with mid-cycle improvements, so we don’t expect to see major changes. The sales will start later this year.

Range, Acceleration

New 2025 BMW i3 comes with a lithium-ion battery that provides a maximum of the range of 153 miles. An electric motor is capable of producing 168 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. The rear-wheel-drive system comes as standard and BMW offers a single-speed transmission. According to BMW, small hatchback sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds, and the top speed is rated at 93 mph.

There is an optional powertrain that uses the same battery. However, the electric motor is more potent as it develops 181 hp and 200 lb-ft of twisting power. A driving range is the same but this i3 version accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. The optional powertrain offers 99 mph of top speed. The 2025 i3 offers 113 MPGe combined.

BMW i3 Design

As crazy as it sounds, the new 2025 BMW i3 is shorter than models such as Honda Fit. Still, the i3 model looks impressive and its styling is just perfect. The all-electric hatchback comes with an upright appearance. To improve the car’s stability, BMW pushed the wheels out to the corners. It is useful but it looks a bit strange.

This model is so easy to park and generally, easy to maneuver. The rear-hinged doors are another odd cue, but generally, everything else is just fine. Interestingly, you can’t open the rear doors until you open the front doors. Yes, some things are inconvenient, but if you see past that, this is just one amazing and small hatchback.

Interior Gets Minor Updates

We are not going to write about the 2025 BMW i3 and its high-tech features. This hatchback offers everything but the Android Auto, for some reason. Hopefully, the 2022MY will introduce Android Auto. Besides that, the i3 is full of high-tech amenities, including the newest driver-assistance aids. The interior is very premium and upscale.

The dashboard looks minimalistic and clean. The tablet-like display is in the offer. There will be room for four passengers but the interior room is limited. On the other hand, comfort is admirable and the seating position is perfect. The cargo area is rated at 15.1 cubic feet, but folding the seats opens up 36.9 cubic feet of space.

2025 BMW i3 Release Date, Price

The changes are minor so the new 2025 BMW i3 won’t cost more than its predecessor. The price should start at around $45,500. Additionally, the model will a stronger electric motor will cost you $48,500. The sales will begin in the second half of 2021.
